Fresh Stroll

Service agreement

What you agree to when you book.

  1. Section 1

    What we do

Fresh Stroll cleans strollers, car seats and other baby gear. We take removable parts off, wash each piece according to the manufacturer’s published care instructions, clean the frame and hard parts by hand, air-dry everything completely, and reassemble it.

We use Dr. Bronner’s Sal Suds and Tide Free & Gentle, and water at the temperature the manufacturer specifies for each piece. Cleaning reduces dirt, residue and germs. It is not sterilization, and we do not claim that it is.

  2. Section 2

    Car seats are safety equipment

A car seat is a regulated safety device. In the United States it is built and tested to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213. Its manufacturer sets rules for how it may be cleaned, and we follow those rules rather than our own. Where the manufacturer says a part must not be washed, soaked or treated a certain way, we will not do it, even if asked.

We do not clean a car seat that has been in a crash of any kind, that has passed the expiry date printed on it, or that is subject to an open recall. If we discover any of these when the seat arrives, we will tell you, return it uncleaned and refund the cleaning price for that seat. You will be charged only for any pickup and return.

  3. Section 3

    What you are telling us

When you book, you tell us the make and model of each stroller or car seat, whether each car seat has ever been in a vehicle accident, and any known problems such as mold, broken parts or loose straps. We rely on that information to decide how to clean the item and whether we can accept it at all.

  4. Section 4

    Cleaning carries some risk

Fabrics, foam, straps, buckles and plastics wear over time, and cleaning can reveal or worsen existing wear. Colors can lift, stitching can loosen, and older stains may not come out. We take care with every piece and follow the care instructions, but we cannot make gear new, and we cannot guarantee that cleaning will not change how a part looks, feels or performs.

By booking, you accept those risks for the items you send us.

  5. Section 5

    After your gear comes back

Once an item is returned to you, you are responsible for it. Before you use it again, please check that every strap, buckle, clip and cover is fitted the way the manufacturer shows in its manual, and that nothing is loose or missing. Correct installation and use of a car seat is always the parent’s or caregiver’s responsibility, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration publishes free guidance on it.

    • Check the reassembly against the manufacturer’s manual before use
    • Install and use the item as the manufacturer directs
    • Confirm the item is safe before placing a child in it
  6. Section 6

Your permission to do the work

You authorize Fresh Stroll to take apart and reassemble your items as needed to clean them, to use the products named above, and to decline or stop work on any item we believe is unsafe, expired, recalled, damaged beyond cleaning, or outside what its manufacturer allows.

  7. Section 7

    Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Fresh Stroll, its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for pre-existing damage or defects, hidden or structural failures, results of improper installation or use after the service, or any injury, loss or damage arising from the use of an item after it is returned to you.

If we are found liable for anything connected with a service, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that service.

Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.

  8. Section 8

    Claims against individuals

Fresh Stroll is run by its owners and, at times, people who help us. Any claim you may have relates to the business, not to any individual owner, employee or contractor personally, and the protections in this agreement apply equally to each of them.

  9. Section 9

If someone else makes a claim

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fresh Stroll and its owners, employees and contractors against claims, damages or legal costs that arise from use or misuse of an item after we return it, from improper installation, or from a third party’s claim involving the item.

  10. Section 10

No warranty, but a redo promise

Our services are provided as is. We do not warrant that a cleaned item is safe, compliant with its manufacturer’s requirements, or fit for any particular use, because those things depend on the item’s history and on how it is installed and used.

Separately from that, if you are not happy with the quality of a clean, tell us within 2 business days of return and we will clean it again at no charge. That is a promise about our work, not a safety guarantee.

  11. Section 11

    Photos

We may photograph items during cleaning for our own records, for example to note damage that was present on arrival. Those photos are not published.

If you tick the marketing option when you book, we may also use photos of your gear on our website or social media. We never include names, addresses or any other personal information.

  12. Section 12

    Text messages

If you tick the text message option when you book, we may text you about your booking, your pickup or drop-off window and your return. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop.

  13. Section 13

    Payment, scheduling and cancellation

Prices are shown on our website. You pick your times and pay by card at the end of the booking, and that is what holds the slot. We plan our routes around booked slots, so please have the gear ready at the agreed time. If it is not, we will contact you to reschedule.

Your gear is ready 2 business days after your pickup or drop-off day, or 1 business day after it with Express 1 business day return, and comes back at the return time you choose when you book.

Sometimes a job takes longer than expected. If that happens we will tell you as soon as we know.

To cancel, email freshstroll.sf@gmail.com or use the cancel link in your confirmation email, before we collect your gear or you drop it off. We refund what you paid, minus the card processing fee, which we cannot get back. If we have to cancel, we refund you in full.

  14. Section 14

    The whole agreement

This agreement, together with our privacy policy and the prices on our website, is the whole agreement between you and Fresh Stroll for the service you book. It is governed by the laws of the State of California. If any part of it cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
